You're heading into the hardest part.

Well hello June!

And I don't know about you, but I feel like this week was a month long!

In the first week of June, I've covered a lot of ground:

  • Nic Mooney and I booked the venue for In Demand, By Design
  • I gave three mentoring sessions
  • I had two coaching sessions
  • I ran the last session of Create Your Own Category
  • I wrote an award application for a client
  • I attended my Athena Network meeting
  • I made 16 personal offers to people I genuinely believe I can help
  • And I got my nails done (because self care isn't optional)

Apparently, we're hurtling head long into the summer (somehow there are only 6 weeks left til the kids break up), though I'm sat here staring at the torrential downpour outside and I'm wondering if summer is already over...

Whatever the weather decides it's doing, we're a few weeks from heading into the season where routines disappear, kids are home, holidays, day trips, constant snack making, unpredictable diaries... and most business owners collectively decide that marketing can wait until September.

So the next six weeks are genuinely some of the most valuable marketing time you have all year.

And I'm gonna help you use them.

Over my next six newsletters, I'm going to give you some really simple-to-execute advice to ensure that you don't disappear during the summer.

So here's what I want you to do this week:

Decide your floor.

Not your ceiling. Not your ideal. Your floor. The absolute minimum you will commit to showing up over the summer, no matter what.

One email a month? Two LinkedIn or Instagram posts a week? One networking meeting you won't cancel on yourself?

Write it down. Make it non-negotiable.

And then, before the holidays start, schedule those things into your diary. Time block them. Make them real by assigning time to them.

I promise, if you leave it to "I'll see how I feel"... well, you know that's not a marketing strategy. That's how you accidentally disappear for six weeks and wonder why September feels so hard.

And if you're reading that thinking "but what do I actually do with the time I've blocked?" — that's exactly what UNTAMED is for.

Not another course to add to your guilt pile. Not a group programme that kicks off in September when you're "ready." Something that starts now, so that by the time summer arrives, you already have a rhythm.

Inside UNTAMED, you'll have fortnightly mentoring calls with me, a Slack community full of women who are also trying to figure this out, monthly masterclasses on the things that actually move the needle — and crucially, somewhere to bring the question "is this the right thing to be doing right now?" and get a straight answer.

That's what makes the difference between a founder who drifts through summer and finds herself starting from scratch in September, and one who comes back in autumn with momentum already built.

Marketing is compounding interest. The women who win in September are the ones who didn't stop in July.

UNTAMED is £200 a month. No huge commitment. No overwhelming curriculum. Just consistent, strategic support — exactly when you need it most.

We start 15th June.

P.S. I'm off to the Socially Shared Women in Business Conference This Friday (and there are still a couple of days left to to grab a ticket). This year's theme is confidence. Which, frankly, is exactly what a room full of ambitious women building brilliant businesses tends to generate in you whether you're ready for it or not.

If you've been circling it and wondering whether to come — stop circling. Come.

Hey Reader, Happy Saturday. Pour whatever you're having - this one's a slow weekend read, not a between-meetings scroll. ’m writing this from a bowling alley. It is loud. There’s a children’s party in the lane next to me, something is beeping aggressively near the claw machines, and I’m sat at a sticky table with my laptop, pretending very hard not to watch my eldest, Tristan, who is on a date. On lane 9. I am being extremely cool about it. He would tell you otherwise. What I want to be doing...

Hey Reader, Happy Saturday. Pour whatever you're having - this one's a slow-morning read, not a between-meetings scroll. This week I went along to Holly Nixon's Creating Connections event. If you don't know Holly, she is quite simply a master networker - not in the slightly icky "collects business cards" sense, but in the genuine, rare sense of knowing an enormous number of brilliant people and spending her energy connecting them to each other rather than just to herself. I left buzzing about...

Hello Reader! You might have noticed I went quiet last week. No newsletter. No rambling. Nothing. That’s because it was my birthday, and I decided that the greatest gift I could give myself was a week where I didn’t have to be clever on demand. (Also cake. There was a lot of cake.) But while I was off being a year older and absolutely no wiser at all, things kept happening. Which, funnily enough, is exactly what this email is about. But first, let me catch you up. A new podcast episode...
